Day 1: Wadi El Natrun Monastery Tour from Cairo

Morning – Departure from Cairo

  • Enjoy a comfortable drive (approx. 1.5 hours) through the desert roads towards Wadi El Natrun.

  • Your guide will introduce the significance of this valley in Christian history along the way.

First Stop – Monastery of Anba Bishoy

  • Visit the most famous monastery in Wadi El Natrun, founded in the 4th century.

  • Explore its ancient churches, watchtowers, and the relics of Saint Bishoy.

  • Learn about its role as a center of Coptic monastic life.

Second Stop – El-Suryan Monastery (Monastery of the Syrians)

  • Discover the unique Syrian influence brought by monks who settled here in the 6th century.

Third Stop – El-Baramous Monastery
