Day 1 –Trip to the Nubian Villages by boat
Your tour begins with a relaxing pick-up from your hotel, cruise, or meeting point. You’ll be transferred to the riverbank, where your boat awaits.
As the journey starts, the gentle Nile breeze and the sound of water will set the tone for a serene and picturesque ride. Along the way, you’ll pass Elephantine Island, ancient ruins, and beautiful rock formations at the First Cataract. Your guide will share stories about Nubian history, culture, and the unique connection between the Nubians and the Nile.
Upon arrival at the Nubian village, you’ll be greeted with warm smiles and vibrant colors. The houses are painted in bright blues, pinks, and yellows, often decorated with traditional patterns and drawings. You’ll have the chance to:
Visit a local Nubian home and learn about family traditions.
Discover handicrafts, beadwork, and handmade souvenirs.
Interact with locals and hear stories passed down through generations.
See (and perhaps hold) a small Nile crocodile — a traditional symbol in many Nubian homes.
You can also enjoy a cup of sweet Nubian tea or coffee while relaxing in the shade and taking in the peaceful riverside views.
After your visit, you’ll board the boat again for a leisurely return trip to Aswan, arriving back at your hotel or cruise with lasting memories of Nubian warmth and culture.
