Day 1: Arrival in Luxor – Esna Embarkation

Upon arrival at Luxor Airport or Luxor Train Station, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour manager and escorted to Esna, where your Dahabiya adventure begins.

Your journey starts with a guided visit to the Temple of Khnum, located 9 meters below street level, hidden amidst Esna’s vibrant markets. A leisurely stroll through the lively streets, adorned with colorful textiles and traditional crafts, offers a delightful introduction to local life.

After embarkation, enjoy a welcome lunch on board as the Dahabiya sets sail into the heart of the Nile.

Day 2: El Kab & Edfu

Wake up to the gentle rhythm of the Nile as you sail towards El Kab, once the capital of Upper Egypt. Here, you’ll explore the Temple of Nekhbet and remarkable tombs carved into the cliffs. A short walk through the charming fishermen’s village brings you closer to local traditions.

In the afternoon, continue to Edfu to visit the magnificent Temple of Horus, one of the best-preserved temples in Egypt. A horse-drawn carriage will guide you through the town’s bustling streets to the temple. The day concludes with a peaceful sail to a quiet Nile island.

Day 3: Wadi Muzin & Desert Adventure

Enjoy a relaxed morning with an optional Nile-side picnic and a hearty breakfast. Later, stop at one of the islands for a swim or a refreshing walk along the riverbank.

In the afternoon, venture into the desert at Wadi Muzin, where ancient hieroglyphs and prehistoric inscriptions reveal the historic trade route leading to Libya. As evening falls, marvel at the illuminated Temple of Jabal al-Silsilah before your Dahabiya anchors nearby for the night.

Day 4: Jabal al-Silsilah Exploration

Today’s stop is the secluded site of Jabal al-Silsilah, where massive sandstone quarries once supplied stone for Egypt’s great temples. Discover the Temple of Horemheb and enjoy the rare tranquility of this narrow stretch of the Nile, inaccessible to large cruise ships.

Take time to relax by the riverbank, sip traditional tea or shisha at a local café, and even enjoy a refreshing swim. The serene landscape makes this a highlight of your Dahabiya journey.

Day 5: Kom Ombo Temple

Sail towards Kom Ombo, where the unique double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder awaits. Day 6: Disembarkation in Aswan
