Day 1: Cairo – Marsa Matrouh – Siwa

  • Pick-up from your Cairo hotel.

  • Drive west along the North Coast, stopping in Marsa Matrouh for a short break by the Mediterranean.

  • Continue to Siwa Oasis (approx. 9–10 hours in total).

  • Check in at your hotel/lodge.

  • Dinner and overnight in Siwa.

Day 2: Siwa Sightseeing (East & West)

  • Breakfast at the hotel.

  • Visit Alexander’s Oracle Temple (Temple of Amun) at Aghurmi, where Alexander the Great was declared a son of Amun.

  • Explore the Mountain of the Dead (ancient rock-cut tombs).

  • Discover the old Shali Fortress, the mud-brick citadel in the heart of Siwa.

  • Overnight stay in Siwa.

Day 3: Desert Safari & Great Sand Sea

  • Breakfast at the lodge.

  • Head into the Great Sand Sea by 4×4.

  • Enjoy dune bashing, sandboarding, and panoramic desert views.

  • Visit Bir Wahed Hot Spring for a desert swim.

  • Sunset dinner and overnight camping in the desert under the stars.

Day 4: Lakes, Springs & Siwa Culture

  • Breakfast in the desert camp, then return to Siwa.

  • Visit Cleopatra’s Bath (Spring of Juba) for a refreshing swim.

  • See the mesmerizing Siwa Salt Lakes, where you can float effortlessly due to their high salinity.

  • Explore local markets and enjoy free time to experience Siwan culture.

  • Overnight in Siwa.

Day 5: Siwa – Cairo

  • Breakfast at hotel.

  • Check out and drive back through Marsa Matrouh.

  • Lunch break on the way.

  • Arrive in Cairo by evening, drop-off at your hotel.
